AN upcoming Cremorne development has proven popular among locals, with the majority of apartments sold to local buyers.
The Verona, a boutique Sun Property development of 20, one, two and three bedroom apartments at 320-322 Military Rd, is scheduled for completion at the end of June.
Sun Property general manager Cameron Johnson said that all of the 18 apartments pre-sold were purchased by local buyers.
“All of our purchasers currently live within a 5km radius of the site,” Mr Johnson said.
“The growing attitude of Sydney’s population to live, work and play all within a local context, really does resonate through this building.”
Mr Johnson said similar buyer interest also occurred when the Paramount development located at 21 Parraween St hit the market, with all buyers also located within a 5km proximity.
“The prime attraction for buyers is the location; close to schools, facilities and services, public transport and inner city jobs,” he said.
“The introduction of the BLine bus route over the next 12 to 18 months is only going to increase demand for the area.”
Director of Ray White Projects & Developments Tim Abbott said the successful launch of the Verona development showcases the current strength of the local market.
“Only 18 apartments were released when the project launched in 2015, and all sold in just six weeks,” he said.
“The high sales represent the strength of local buyers and downsizers.”
Mr Abbott said he expects a positive buyer response when the final two apartments available at The Verona are released next week.
